Cried Like a baby
Well guys took Milly to the specialist this morning and I just thought they would give her a good check up take some blood etc and then we would come home and wait for the results. Then after examining her the vet said yeh we will sedate/give her a general and do all the test I thought maybe in week but no she meant today. I had to leave her with the OH because I did not want her to see me upset I know it is good so they can sort her skin out but when she handed me her collar and lead it just really upset me. I know I am acting like a baby but i just could not stop myself. hopefully at the end of today they may have a answer to her probs.
So glad I took insurance out for her know today will cost between 700-900 if of these initial test they still find nothing they will do food/enviromental test which will take the price up to about 1500.

Tracie I know what you are feeling. Jethro has had 2 big ops the last few months.. and I was the same when they gave me his collar and lead and I said goodbye as they led him out the back...... Now he is booked in for another op to cut a cancerous lump out his throat... I think because he is so old too doesn't help me!! You feel so helpless and vulnerable don't you when you leave them at the mercy of the vets.....

Poor you, what an ordeal, in some ways at least you didn't have any time to build up any worry and hopefully a result maybe later is a real positive.
I take it you can have her home tonight??? Hugs to you all but its for the best. x

Big hugs from Blue ><
and big licks from me
Horrible having to leave them, so I would have to say your not being soft I would be the same. Thinking of you both and hopefully you will get everything sorted and this will be the start of an even better life together

Re: Cried Like a baby
Well guys we are home Milly has a big shaved patch on her leg from the general and one of her sides looks like a giant domino were they have done the allergy test. We have to wait for 2 weeks for bloods beofre we have the final results. But she is allergic to corn, dust mites and get this tobacco i feel so guilty. She is on a fish only diet for 8 weeks. She was given a shot of antibiotic while she was under that will last for 14 days as there was bacteria were she had been scratching and this will cover her till the bloods are back. she has been given a mils sterod spray that we have to start using in 5 days. I came home with a bag full of potions all for the price of £986.57 but my baby is home and being really naughty I thought she would have been tired but i not complaining, thanks for all your wishes they are appreciated and Milly sends sloppy kisses xx

Re: Cried Like a baby
So glad you have her home tonight, there's nothing worse than leaving them at the vets overnight.
If she's allergic to corn you're going to have to choose her food really well. But at least you're part way to knowing now.
