Eggs? Empty Eggs?

Post by lesley1802 Thu Jul 25 2013, 13:41

HI

I've been looking through some forum topics on food supplements etc and adding a couple of raw eggs per week seems to be a great source of protein - I just wondered what age you can start this from?

Thanks in advance

Egg for dinner then Smile

Cooper gets an eight of a pack of NatureDiet plus a handful of Wainwrights per meal - so maybe when I give him the egg remove the NatureDiet?

I'd just add the egg to his normal meal. A couple of eggs extra a week won't affect him negatively.

Eggs are a great source of protein, and a very tasty snack that will make his coat shine too.

Frankie loves eggs. He carries it round the garden before very carefully cracking it!

Gwen loves eggs! We give her one egg a day on top of her food! You can also give Cooper the egg in the shell. We give Gwen the whole egg sometimes, but it can be messy when she decides to carry it off and crack it on my carpet!Laughing

Eggs? Empty Re: Eggs?

Post by Here-Comes-Honey-Bru-Bru Tue Jul 30 2013, 01:57

Started Bruzer on eggs two weeks ago, I mix a cup of doggy nuts With a raw egg every second day as well as some chicken or beef  and he loves it. He was a bit gassy at first and had a bit of the runs but now he's system has gotten used to it I think. He doesn't always get them raw, sometimes he has a boiled one or scrambled. Iv definately noticed his coat is a lot shinier and softer. He loves them so much that the mischievous little beggar got into the kitchen and pulled a box of six off the counter and devoured them all! I came out of the bathroom to the remaining egg shells mashed into the carpet and the box torn to shreds all over the place! That was his dinner for the day sorted!! And no treats!!
