He's a terrier & terriers dig.Sad

All you can do is make sure you supervise him and stop him if he dogs or if you feel he's chomping too much grass!

Unfortunately digging is a terrier trait, he may grow out of it over time but for now, a firm 'no' and distraction should help.

He's still a baby so hes just testing out all the different tastes in the garden. Again, just keep a close eye on him and distract him away when doing wrong.

Roxy does not chew grass but she has started to try and tunnel to the other side of the world. She has dug one hole, quit deep but in a hidden place in the garden.

Rocky ripped up my whole veggie patch in the matter of 10 minutes, since then I haven't planted anything, but he was a digger, there is little holes in the grass everywhere from where he decides to dig, definitely a terrier trait, but as said above, firm no and he should learn to stop!

Try a sand pit, my vet suggested it and its great - just a kids one with clean sand, and any time you see them digging, pick him up and put him in there. Bury some toys and fun things - show him what you've buried and he'll catch on Smile

Its boredom I think that triggers it - thats what Ive noticed anyway. Maybe a filled Kong will help too?
