Re: CRATE SIZE HELP??????
I don't use one but if I did I'd go for the biggest I could fit.

Re: CRATE SIZE HELP??????
Yes it is supposed to be their safe place so that could be right. Lots of people on here do use crates so I'm sure someone will be along soon with some advise for you

Re: CRATE SIZE HELP??????
A crate should be big enough to allow the dog to stand properly, turn around and stretch out comfortably. It doesn't matter really if the crate is a little too big - it can still act as a bed.

Re: CRATE SIZE HELP??????
Mine is 36 and was huge for Vin as a pup, but now its just right he can stand turn around and has his water bowl down one end. I have always covered the crate so it makes him feel more secure.

Re: CRATE SIZE HELP??????
if you get a big one now you can always make a divider for it until he's bigger and use it to keep water in etc , we split it up 50 / 50 with bed and paper in the event of the accidents at night time but they were both out of their crates not too longer after 4-5 months (Tilly was quicker than Tommy)
