Brandy, Staffie, DOB 10.2011 – Brockley, South London
Homing Requirements: Brandy needs dog experienced owners who can support her as she gains confidence walking on a lead, walking past dogs outside and mastering housetraining which is fragile due to her past. Brandy would enjoy a secure garden to play in and exit management to ensure she is safe. Brandy is proven with respectful children. Brandy would enjoy being an ‘only’ pet.
Her Story: Brandy grew up within a young family who lost interest in her and put her in the garage. They began to go away every weekend and left her in a crate in a garage often without food. A relative used her key as neighbours reported whimpering. She removed Brandy from her family and they relinquished her into their care and she was held several weeks awaiting a rescue place with us. Brandy is now neutered, chipped and vax'd. Brandy is in foster in South London.
Advert: Brandy is a sweet spirited little Staffie. She is proven with children and loves people, meets friends and visitors well and is still puppyish in her play. We believe she has been under-socialized so needs to build confidence and familiarity with dogs.
Brandy is a small red Staffie who is just months old but is immature for her age physically and behaviourally. She is just catching up having been neglected in her development and socialization. She is now housetrained and enjoying park walks and learning to walk on a lead. An absolute treasure!

Re: Brandy, Staffie, DOB 10.2011 – Brockley, South London
Brandy has been in foster, but her foster place has come to an end and she has now been returned to the kennels. Below is a glowing tribute to her from her fosterer ...
"Today is a really sad day for Kate and I as our time fostering Brandy is coming to an end tomorrow
She's an amazing girl and really ready for a permanent home. Over the past 6 weeks, we hoped we would bring a little joy to the her life, but were not expecting the how much joy she would bring to ours.
So, I'd thought i'd tell you all the 10 best things about Brandy:
10) Her 'guilty' look when challenged on why several items from the recycling box are now in the garden.
9) Her gymnastic ball catching skills.
8. She's a looker - gets lots of comments on how beautiful she is.
7) Her really soft fur.
6) Her selective deafness. She never seems to hear 'get off the bed Brandy' but never fails to hear the fridge door opening.
5) The way she lies flat on the floor when other dogs approach looking like she's going to pounce only to wag her tail madly and sniff them when they approach.
4) Her nosiness. It's hilarious. She is interested in everything.
3) Her playfulness....on walks, with other dogs, on her own in the garden if all else fails. She is highly resourceful when it comes to entertaining herself.
2) Her friendliness. I now know far more people from my neighbourhood as a result of her enthusiasm for meeting and greeting people.
1) Her cuddles. She gives the best cuddles!
