Just back from dog park where me and byson were playing frisbee, which is his favorite thing to do and by far his favorite toy!!, there was a female staffy x lab, came bowling down toward byson, her tail was wagging happy out, byson stood there tail up and seemed tense, next thing the other staffy went for his frisbee while still in bysons mouth, byson came back towards me and other staffy started chasing him and biting his neck and back, so byson whipped round with a growl and was snarling (frisbee still in mouth), just a warning!! The woman was trying to get her dog on lead, I was tring to do the same, everytime I said stay! he would! until the other staffy ran for him again biting him, he kept growling and showing teeth, until eventually he dropped frisbee andwent for her but didn't bite , again warning shot!!, he was just protecting his favorite toy and certainly didn't like being bit!!, I'm proud of him for standing his ground and holding back!!!, (was nervous pup, now 13 months old) the other staffy was not getting the message, The woman was very apolajetic and we eventually got everything under control.

A worrying situation for you c-staff; it's good that the other dog's owner was a reasonable person.

I don't have personal experience of dogs' possessiveness with toys so am afraid I can't give any help, but I am sure that one of our very knowledgable members will be along shortly who can advise you.

I don't think there is anything really to advise on , this other dog was rubbing yours up the wrong way and got several warnings . Every dog can't be all love and cuddles. Just sounds like 2 responsible owners with daily dog stuff thought the other owner should get her dog recall a bit better if he's a hassler

I don't think you have anything to worry about, Daisy is not an aggressive dog at all but throw toys I to the mix and she can get a bit feisty!!

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The other dog was clearly bothering him so he warned her. He didn't act on it! Most dogs are possessive of their toys!
