This is probably a long shot but looking to see if anyone is from west Lothian. We are starting puppy classes for cooper when he is ten weeks and wanted to know if anyone has used any dog training classes in west Lothian?

Thanks

I could say I couldn't help either but it would be a blatant attempt at increasing my post count so won't bother Laughing

Lesley , have you already booked your classes or are you looking for recommendations ?? Try your vet , can often help . Personally I would ask for a face to face meeting as well so you can gauge their reaction on staffies. A lot of the trainers are very ignorant of the breed and are just making up numbers , some will believe it or not refuse to take on a staffy pup , as it's dangerous Laughing Ideal for you is someone that has had several already

But is 10 weeks not too early because of jabs etc and the time they take to kick in , would have thought 11-12 weeks would be the earliest you can start.

Don't forget you can get a good start in with your training at home , we have some great advice on training here on the forum already , but it is a great idea regardless of how well pup is doing to do the classes and get some socialisation in , the earlier the better and fantastic for development

Hi

I've been following the training guides in here thanks and its all working

He gets his 10 week jags on 5th July and first classes are 16th July,

Found two classes and both owners very knowledgable, it was a hard decision but can't wait to start.

He's already a great wee boy. Sits, sleeps all night, goes outside and asks to get out for his business, just want the odd nipping to stop lol but we are doing the ouch and ignore that seems to be helpin Smile

Thanks
