While I am not in the south west, it is windy outside. Have yet to do our walk, as Pixee is a late riser, lazy madam!
Hope you all get a chance to walk .

Ah bless her Hayley! How's the heat with you now Lisa? Biscuit's much the same Lynn, been up for 2 hours and she hasn't left her bed yet! Biscuit has been on toilet walks only for a few days due to slicing her paw, Max hasn't missed a walk yet, but today is pretty awful here, so many trees coming down! Think I might avoid the woods and stick to road walking!

Ah, Rach, hope they get out for a bit. It's been overcast and in the mid-20s here all week, so it's been true bliss.

I'm in the south west! Couldn't believe how bad it was last night!! Luckily Alfie got a long walk yesterday lunch time so I didn't feel so bad about him not getting a walk last night - he hates the rain so don't think he would have appreciated me dragging him out in it lol! We had lots of play time to tire him out instead xx

I'm not in the south west but have been watching it all on the news, I really do feel so sad for all those down there going through it. I don't understand why there hasn't been an appeal for aid on TV, if this was happening anywhere else in the world there would be

Re: Anyone else in the south west?
Im in the Rural South West and it was a rough night again. I don't live that
far from the Somerset Levels where the main problem is, but luckily
we are not flooded in this area, apart from some roads closed where
they are covered in water coming off the fields. I have friends who are
in the village fire service and they are doing 12 hours shifts night and day managing
the pumps to get the water away from the Levels where people are
stranded in their homes. They did say it will take until April!
My boy took one look at the weather this morning and decided he would
go back to bed (my bed) He does look sad though! The last couple
of days we have been able to enjoy as it has been dryish and it makes such a difference to both of us when we can get out and about.

I wish I was in the South West, I'm stuck in miserable old London oh how I dream of living in the middle of nowhere with only cows and dogs for company.... oh and the boyfriend of course
If its any consolation, its awful here too Axl refuses to walk and does his business in under a minute so he can get back inside lol

Re: Anyone else in the south west?
Jeez, I was really shocked that Somerset still hasn't been sorted.. Dawlish is looking so bad too My mum lives right next to the beach but luckily she's on a very big hill!!! It's calmed down a bit here so just been out for a good 2 hours with my two, the woods are scary!! The trees were literally creaking and most of the pathways have been cut off by fallen trees!

Re: Anyone else in the south west?
Debs, that's exactly how I lived for the last 40 years until I was widowed
and now I live in the village, but still very rural. Guess what, I love
coming to London (but wouldn't want to live there as I enjoy peace and
quiet)
Rachel, was it you that was in Bristol area at one time? Just wondered
if you had read about the Crocodile spotted by a Bus Driver under
Bedminster Bridge. The whole area has gone croc crazy, its very
funny.

As soon as we can get out of London we're going to move, both of us prefer the countryside and I love nothing better than to walk

Sounds like a plan I lived outside of London for a little while when I was younger, loved some aspects but just felt like I needed to run around in a field after a month or so lol! Ahhh she puts up with Max, think she actually quite likes him now! Sure she would love him

Guess I'm kinda lucky where I am. Right on the edge of the London boroughs with the city 25 mins by train (2 hours by car) & 2 mins to some wonderful countryside
