A bit more trust
Bacchus is now 11 months and has just spent the last 2 nights with his crate open. I have been building up to this by leaving the crate open if I go out for half an hour or so, and decided to go for it over the week-end. I still put him in his crate with his stuffed Kong last thing but now leave the door open. Both mornings I have come down to find him asleep in the crate. He has a cover on his place on the sofa but I don't know if he is visiting it during the night.
He has never been a destructive pup ( apart from a thing for till receipts which isn't a bad thing as it stops the OH from seeing what I spend on him ) so hope this can become the norm.

Sounds like Bacchus is growing up and starting to trust you too, it goes both ways.

Aww great work bacchus! Doing so well
Straighten the cover out on the sofa if you can, if you see it all crumpled up in the morning youll know he is sneeking up there! But im sure he is definitely being a good boy

Good idea. Not that I mind if he uses the sofa as long as he uses " his " bit.

Haha they do tend to take over! Rocky thinks he is master of all sofas in this house! Until we bought him a new bed to sit next to us in, now he loves it!
