You mean running flat chat like a loon from one side of the room to the other, skidding under furniture, smacking his head into things, laying down then doing the whole thing all over again and again and again, taking out anything and everything that may happen to be in the way? Never heard of it before Laughing

It is a normal .... Chiquito used to do it daily as a younger pup, called it his mad half hour ... he would literally run around like a mad thing until he fell asleep. Now he does it a couple of times a week for five to ten minutes at a time Smile

Yep, Biscuit does this too. She'll get a wild look in her eye and everyone in the house will sit on something as high up as possible and watch the mayhem ensue. She's never done herself any damage.. but has taken my legs out on a few occasions. Just a dog thing :)As others have said.. they're pretty robust; I doubt she would do herself any damage.. your valuable items on the other hand.. we can't promise anything Tongues

Yep, another one here, don't consider it a problem.

The Tedster mostly does it in the garden. runs from one side to the other in a figure 8 pattern the extremes of which have raised flower beds. He has never hurt himself yet. They seem to know what they are doing.

Yep, Milton does it too, usually outside but if all the doors are open in the house he'll sometimes charge up and down the full length a few times. He's jumped clear over the sofa on more than one occasion and also likes to run underneath my Land Rover and out the other side. I usually just stand laughing at him, the little nutter Laughing

my 2 have never really done it like that , closest I suppose is a little lunacy from Tommy when he gets off lead in a certasin area we go to and he launches himself through the grass for 10 mins.
However , a friends Staff we were looking after at the time we got Tilly used to do the zoomies all the time , complete nutter. One day in our house , the OH was lying on the couch and she was with her (6 months old) and she just jumped up for no reason , went absolutely mental round the room , jumped back on the couch nipped my Mrs on the bum ( Laughing ) another 2 mins mental time then jumped back on the couch and went back to sleep

Our two do it. The older one (Sophie) starts it, going around the yard like she's found some kind of crack or something. Then the pup (Taco) stands there watching for a couple of laps, decides that it looks like fun and joins in. He's only done it on his own once so far. As far as I'm aware, it's a completely normal staffy thing.

Yep our two do this - we have a heavy swivel armchair that can rotate a full 360 degrees when they're in full throttle Laughing The house is slowly getting more and more Staffie-proof, ie plants no longer stand on the floor, furniture has moved so there is a clear runway from one room to the next, the cats eat on the kitchen worktops....

Kuchar's the same. all of a sudden he'll go round and round and round (repeat to the point of exhaustion) the living room, which is fairly big. He's pretty clever at avoiding banging into things, but will include going up and down our two staircases. He goes at 100mph and sounds like a galloping horse. We call it the zoomies or "wall of death" .

Sorry Nathan, I don't think Kuchar could teach your guys a thing about avoiding furniture. He just goes brain dead when he does his wall of death routine and tbh it's just luck that the only furniture up against the walls is soft and has "channels" behind it.

Isn't it cute to see though?! Daft beggars.
