vet visit tomorrow

Taking Jethro to the vet tomorrow. He has abit of a lump under his throat.. the vet has checked it before but it has gotten bigger the last few weeks. It is soft and spongy and looks like he has a double chin. Hope my precious old boiler will be okay.... * sigh * ....

hi everyone. Well looks like Jethro has to have another operation ! The vet said the lump is not normal and did a biopsy with a huge needle.. What a brave boy Jethro was! She said she could see some cells that shouldn't be there ( cancer ) and advised us to have the lump removed in the next month or so. It is is a bad spot and she said you don't want it getting too big that it makes the operation even more serious than it is. Amazing.. Jethro has sailed through his life .. only ever going to the vets for his yearly needles and check up. Now in the last few months he has already had 2 big ops.... growths, lumps, tumours removed.. then a heamatoma.. now this!! Better start saving.. $$$$$$$...........
But the vet did say Jethro is wonderful and healthy for his age.. so he has that on his side. On a happier note too Jethro wore his new collar and lead ( photo following ) it has peace signs all over it.. and he looked dashing!! ( well he is a lover not a fighter!! ) And it was such another hot horrible stinky day ( 33 in autumn.. ridiculous!! ) Jethro was puffing and panting in the car, when we got home he went straight in his pool!! Thanks so much for all your concern. It is always such a worry when our precious fur babys have something wrong...

thanks everyone..really appreciate it! Jethro is one of the most precious things in my life...I think you can all relate to that!
my mum is coming over for a visit from South Australia next week. she is 80 and will stay for 2 weeks ( Tony CAN'T wait !! hahaha..not! ) so we decided Jethro will have his op when mum goes back, so we can just concentrate on that. don't worry I will keep everyone posted when it all happens.. meanwhile I am off to give Jethro another cuddle..... Smile

thanks, we need the pool here.. we have just had the hottest summer and now the hottest start to autumn ever.....and we are in the grips of the worse drought as well .. so in other words it is hot hot hot here ( and I am sick of it !! ) Jethro feels the heat terribly. ( and he aint the only one! ) so he loves leaping into the pool !!
