"Trying to kill her"
Yesterday my oh was sitting out front with the dogs and a guy from our street who has two "pitbulls" (that's what he says might just be blue staff x's) was clapping Diesel and noticed all the wee marks on her neck and told my oh that he better watch out cause Leroy is trying to kill her if he goes for her neck!
As ive posted before Diesel has got a white underside with very little fur (like suede) so the mark Leroy leaves on her neck from playin are quite visible...i posted about this before as a little bit worried, but he doesn't bite hard or break the skin its just when she has him pinned to the floor he'l chew on her neck....i thought this was kinda normal play?
Is this guy just a t**ser?

Re: "Trying to kill her"
Dogs mouth at each other when they play, so it isn't surprising that little marks can be left, provided it doesn't break the skin. As Janey said, you know your dogs best.

Re: "Trying to kill her"
My Tank is covered in scratches / bites under his neck ! He had lost a lot of fur - he's got loads of scars bless him.
Staffys play hard together, the mouth each other - bite (not hard)
If my 2 wanted to kill each other they could easily.
They bite each others back legs too - imagine how easy it would b to crush a leg !
Ignore the * !

Not if they're registered as Staffordshire Bull Terrier crosses.

Re: "Trying to kill her"
well they lie cuddled up together, lick each others ears etc so dont seem to hate each other, An surely if he wanted to kill her he would? or at least make a good attempt at it?

Sounds like they're the best of friends! If he disliked her or wanted to hurt her, you're right - he would have had a go at her.

Re: "Trying to kill her"
Well put it this way one of his "pitbulls" latched on to a friend of mines sleeve the other day when he was in the close (he sadly lives in the same block as this guy) an apparently it bit a wee girl as well so maybe his dogs r out for the kill but mine aren't!

Re: "Trying to kill her"
Definitely staffy play. My girls are like that, Lola always has marks on her neck 'cos she has sensitive skin

Re: "Trying to kill her"
My dogs are covered in those little chewed marks on their necks and behind their ears. They just play hard, as long as they dont break the skin and there is no pain or swelling just ignore him! He's chatting rubbish!
