Pup got a rash under his arms
I think this can be normal for these dogs however its annoying watching him scratch it all the time,is there anything i can use such as creams or home made remedys that helps these wee rashes they get,
Heres some pics, the quality isnt as good, its alittle more red than the pics suggest

Re: Pup got a rash under his arms
It just looks like allergys to me. My pooch gets this all the time when hes been on grass. It tends to go down after a couple of hours, try sudocreme, it should cool it and stop the itching

As Kita says it looks like an allergy to something, darcy too gets this occasionally see how it goes, if it worsens or your not happy you can always pop the vet to ease your mind

Ok,just want to double check and ask,i know you guys offer great advice but naturally theres some creams that would be ok for dogs skin but not really ok for them to lick,il make sure il 'rub it in properly' but if the pup does try and lick the likes of sudocream it will be ok?

I use it on Daisy and it has worked well on skin irritation

Yeah it will be fine if she licks it but try not let her do it....distract her with a kong or play time otherwise youll just have to keep putting it on her. You can always use the origional vaseline but this wont stop the itching, will only reduce the redness.

My Frank gets rashes from grass and sand that look like that, and i just use Sudocreme, on him.
He loves it, will happily lie for ages letting my rub some cream in to his wee sore bit. Thankfully he doesnt go right behind me licking it off either

Re: Pup got a rash under his arms
Zeus gets the same, particularly under his armpits. I use Sudocrem but have also used Coconut oil (edible type) which works and has a number of benefits for dogs:

Sudocream is great.. I'm not sure if you can get it over there but I use Ilium Cream on Steff as she has the same rash, the Ilium numbs the area as well as soothes so it stops her scratching straight away, it is a wonder cream

Gwen gets these under her armpits sometimes as well, I use vaseline. It normally goes away on its own!
