little drama
so yeah havent been very active i know, i've just been tired and busy, but i thought i'd share this.
we had a little... accident at the dog park last week. i ran into my boss who has a frenchie, a collie cross and a scottish deer hound.'
what happened when the dogs where all running about was at first it was great. the deer hound, the collie cross and romeo where all great together... untill the frenchie came marching up to romeo and staring him down. Romeo mostly turned his head and tried to walk away until the frenchie attacked him....
when romeo attacked back the deer hound got involved. thats when it got pretty bad.
we managed to break them up and i went home, but romeo came out a little worse for wear.
he was bleeding from the penis (luckily is was very superficial)
a few scratches in his ears and around his neck.
the worst one was where the deer hound came down ontop of his and grabbed him by the shoulders shaking him. Romeo had some pretty nast holes and scratches there.
Luckily with antiseptic and bepanthen they are healing ok.... but i tell you what, we wont be mixing again with those dogs...
the deer hound also ended up with a hole under his eye and under his jaw where romeo turned around and bit him.
The frenchie who started everything walked away with barely a scratch...

Re: little drama
yeah it was a bit shocking to see such a big dog grab romeo and shake him... i have been fretting over him ever since
Re: little drama
Id be shocked as well...i think the most important thing is to make sure Romeo continues to socialise with bigger dogs

Re: little drama
Oh poor Romeo - he got mixed up with a "my gang (3 dogs) is bigger than your gang (Romeo)." How typical that the little s**t-stirrer walked away scot-free.
I hope Romeo heals again very soon, both physically and mentally. And yes, avoid the Gang Of Three!
