There was a thread made about that litter the other day. It isn't good, but technically it isn't against the rules I'm afraid.

Re: merle litter :(
why more money for blue..??.. i think they take the p**s.. After buying Frankie from a breeder who cared about the dogs and not just the money i feel a sense of pity for the pups. It's all wrong..

Re: merle litter :(
No, merle staffies can't be registered. Unfortunately, that rule was only introduced a couple of years ago, so the parents may actually be KC registered.
To be honest, the money is one of the lesser problems. Merles can have terrible health conditions. And this breeder either doesn't even know what colour those pups are, and therefore has no idea about the health problems, or just doesn't care and is selling them as 'unusual' colours.

Re: merle litter :(
They charge more money for blues because it's one of the more recently popularised colours. They advertise it as a rare colour, even though the majority of staffies sold are blues, because they know that people will pay more money for a 'rare' dog. When all it is really is a dilute of black.

Yeah it applies to staffords too, merle pups cannot be registered with the kennel club. The suffer such health problems. Poor babies how can they list the colour as unusual.

Don't post links to these sites and pups, we don't want to advertise them and don't want people getting the links to these BYB on our site!

I understand, Kelly, why you posted this, but I also understand why the link was removed.
I wouldn't like to advertise these pups for the unscrupulous breeders!
Merle Staffords cannot be registered with the KC & haven't been since 2010. It's an alien pattern, and is the result of cross breeding purely for that colour pattern.

I dont condone or agree with these sites either, I would never purchase any living thing from such sites. i only posted to discuss the issue. I was on this site as i check daily for staffys that are being lost and stolen in my area , and possibly sold on there. I came across the add, and was quite shocked by the breeder. Sorry if i offended any 1, but was just sharing my dis-belife of such breedingskenny d wrote:LINK REMOVED - WE DONT CONDONE OR ADVERTISE THESE SITES
