Wee Storm hurt her paw !!

Wee Storm cut her paw trying to jump the gate poor wee bubba She's got the vet tonight for her 2nd year booster & we'll see what he says when we're up, she's no in pain but after i cleaned it she was holding it up for me in the pic lol

Awww ouch that does look sore, Rocky did something very similar a few months ago and the vet put a staple in it to aid the healing process and wrapped it up for him. Took a couple of weeks to completely heal up and is perfectly OK again now.

Looks like a glass cut my dog had years ago. the only thing with this type of cut is infection, as they are quite deep. I would give it a good wash if she will let you and maybe put a warm damp piece of gauze on it and bandage it firmly, this should help to draw out any dirt, dust or gunk. Only leave this on for a couple of hours, then give it a final rinse and bandage again with lots of soft squishy gauze to pad and protect it when she puts it down. I would use vetwrap to bandange it or it will probably start to fray quite quickly. Vet may suggest an antibioitc injection or tablets It will heal v. nicely though and will just leave a tiny scar.

Thanks for the nice comments peeps me & Storm appreciate it Update : just back from the vets & she didn't need a stitch but is on Metacam & Anti-Biotics & plenty of rest for her foot, which with Storm is nigh on impossible as she's like the Tazmanian Devil lol
