Its not dangerouse, i dont do the jumping lol. we jog through the backed of town to the park and I get them to jump on or over things on he way. Its really good excersise for them and marley loves it but cant do it in the daytime because of all the people about.
I took a detour last night which was a small ally sloping down to the park. simply got to much speed up, I couldnt stop. at the end is a small 3 foot wall and they went one way and me the other which ended with me on the floor.
All the scrapes dont bother me but my ribs are killing i may have bruised them or pulled a muscle or something (if you can do that in your chest) think i will have to go buy some paracetamol if its doesnt get better with movement.
My own stupid fault though

Oh yeah...even dosed up on diclofenac, co-codamol and paracetamol I had walk from hell today. it literally felt like i was being ripped in half when they decided to pull in seperate ways. and when they saw deer i nearly cried with the pain but just knew I had to hold onto the leads or they would be gone. im not one to grumble and havent taken pain killers in nigh on 3 years but hell this hurts.
wont be going down that ally again lol, was so looking forward to this weekend but im now hobbling around like a 90 year old.

Re: aww me hurt...
Oh poor Nathan.
If it's any consolation (and it won't be) there is NO cure for broken/cracked/bruised ribs, they have to get better on their own (been there, done that) and it does take time.
Get well soon ><

Re: aww me hurt...
It does hurt like hell Nathan. If you can still breathe without difficulty/pain then it's just a matter of time, and painkillers if necessary. Good luck for your rapid recovery ><

Re: aww me hurt...
suspected fractured rib/ribs, severe bruising and nothing they can do except pain killers and time off work...
I cant take time of work as i dont get paid and i have to take the dogs out anyway. what a crap thing to happen...
went to the docs today as the pain isnt going and they reckon 4 to 6 weeks to heal....meh
lucky on the park walk tonight a friend took laska while i had marley on my "good" side although that hurt anyway.
I cant keep taking cocodamol as its giving me really bad acid indegestion so if any of you know any good legal stuff im all ears. at the mo Im taking 50mg of cocodamol and a healthy dose of home brew at night so pretty much out of it until i wake in the morning and cant move. docs just recomended diclofenic (sp) and cocodamol which is what ive been taking anyway.
dog walking is dangerouse lol but im sure they both know im in pain and have been fussing me constantly. laska keeps liking the grazes while marley wont get off me bless him.
would explain why i felt like i was being opend up when they shot off in diff ways the other day... cant blame them though as they were just being dogs. now im rambling...time to log off and insult a few people on fb instead...easy meat

Re: aww me hurt...
prob give that a try as its about as bad as the chest pains, another thing that worried me was that written accross the box was "do not use for more than three days as may cause addiction" not sure what your supposed to get addicted to though.Caryll wrote:Can't recommend anything else, mate. Have you tried Ibuprofen? It's an anti-inflammatory as well, which may help in the healing.

Re: aww me hurt...
Co-codomal is a deritive of codeine (morphine) so can become addictive, especially if you get rebound pain (most normal in headaches) when you stop taking it, so take more to get rid of the pain - and so on.
