need some help /advice 2half yr old staffy

hello all im needing some help i have 4 children 1 9month old child has serious cardiac issues, im having to leave my dog for long periods of time i have no1 i can leave the dog with, we really do not have time for him we have had taz for 2 years he is brilliant with children but does not like other dogs after being attacked before this happened he was brilliant would just play i need to find a home for taz one where he would be looked after ,this is a very hard decision we are making to remove the dog from our family but we cannot cope and we dont have time for him, he deserves a good home if anyone can give any information on how i go about finding a loving home this IS NOT A EASY CHOICE FOR US

What a terrible decision for you to have to make.

If you really can't find anybody to help with him then I would strongly recommend that you contact a rescue organisation. They will be able to check any prospective owners for suitability. Please don't even consider advertising on sites like gumtree!

i wouldnt advertise him on sites like that as i dont know who they really are
i will be wanting to see the home he is going to ect or at least know that the ppl are trustworthy and wont just dump him .i want to know he will be looked after

Aww how heartbreaking for you all, I'm with caryll re contacting a rescue organisation. I hope things turn out for the the best for all of you.

Thank you for spending the time to ask about it! I agree with the others about contacting a recue organisation. If you explain the situation to the rescue organisation you choose, they might agree to let you know how he's doing and when he gets adopted. They probably won't give away personal information, but I daresay they can let you know if he's happy.

Is there really no other option for you , no family to help ?? Dog walkers out of the question ??

So sorry for the problems you are going through but like everybody else the rescue is the way to go.. Whereabouts are you from you don't say in your profile

I agree with the above, definitely a rescue centre if this is the way you have to go

can admin please close this topic we are NOT letting taz go we have found a dog walker in local shop we will carry on as we have been with him been researching on the net and a good percentage of these dogs NEVER get re-homed we cannot do that to taz we will keep him thanks guys
