Hyacinth bulb
Well as you can see Otis this afternoon has caused chaos and munched on a hyacinth bulb, about a quarter was eaten roughly. We rang the vets straight away and just need to watch him for sickness and if he gets diarrhoea he needs to go in. Little monkey. Hope he's alright though.

What a little Tyke Otis, its hard to keep an eye every second, not sure about Hyacinths but sure he will be ok when its out of his system.

From the look of things he spat majority out... But the vet was very good and got back to me within 5mins- he said they are mild to moderate toxicity and depends on how much he has eaten. It is irritant to the stomach which causes nausea, sickness and diarrhoea which if that happens he gets taken straight there.

Quick update - He has been fine all evening, think he felt a little queasy a time but so far nothing at all to worry about.
