As you may know. Staffies destroys toys like no other. He looks squeaky toys. So does anyone know any tough squeaky toys that will last longer than a day with my staffie?

I think anything with a squeak is destined to die within 2 minutes . Away from squeaky toys though the Boomer Ball is fantastic and do not know anyone whose dog has killed one yet either at home or here

My Maxi is the same, she loves them, or more like is obsessed with them! But no, I am yet to find one that lasts. It seems that the strong toys are not made to squeak.
So far the one that has lasted the longest has been the iSqueak Bone from JW.
http://www.jwpet.com/dog/squdetails.html
They are pretty strong, that one lasted 45min Wink The last time I bought her one of those I only let her have it for 10-15min at a time, that way it lasted for 4 sessions!
I have almost giving up and just get the cheap ones for $1 each, they only last for literally 2 min but at least they are cheap Wink

Yeah squeaky toys die in seconds, but as Dave said the boomer ball is a keeper Smile I just buy cheap ones too then it's no bother if they get destroyed in seconds. Laughing

Boomer balls are good, although if you try and kick one you'll break your foot! Stag Bars are a great chew treat, but you can't really play with them.

My friends pit/staff was actually good with squeaks. she wouldn't destroy it within minutes, but maybe days. which I thought was pretty good.

We got a squeaky ball made by kong, not the tennis ball one. It was rubber and had a hole right through it. It lasted a while until Otis lost it but it wasn't as destructible as many other squeaky toys cause Otis is a destroyer

I have the 10 inch one, which is a decent size. Big enough so Zeus can't put it in his mouth but small enough to not cause major damage! Be careful, I've stopped playing with it in the living room, only in the garden now, as he managed to flip the ball up in the air with his nose and hit it with his two paws.. which flew it straight into my LCD telly lol, needless to say I wasn't too pleased ! Laughing

Regarding the original point of 'tough toys', I've tried many and have found that only a few are actually 'tough' and will last:

1) Stagbar - wouldn't be without one. There is a 'jumbo' size out now which I have just ordered. Lasts a good month or two.

2) Coconut - very cheap and very effective, Zeus will play around with it for hours

3) Rope toy - a good solid rope toy will last a while - I use it for tug of war which tires Zeus out after 10/15 minutes!

4) Chuck it balls - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chuckit-660048170013-Ultra-Ball-Medium/dp/B002FYTWJY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1335015344&sr=8-2 - I've also got two of these balls, they're very good, Zeus has sat for hours having a go at them but he can never pierce them. Well worth the money

So far the longest lasting toy Bacon has is his deer antler AKA the Stag Bar (I believe).

I also have a Nylabone faux wood stick that has lasted months. If you are looking for balls, the Kong tennis balls have lasted longer than any other balls I have bought him. Even when he removes the squeeker, it lasts pretty long.

Having said that, It's really tough to find toys for Staffies isn't it? Maybe we should save money and give them what they really want: toilet paper and plastic water bottles.

There is a normal shape kong with a squeaker in it, it is a blue puppy kong and it lasts really well (not sure how you would go with it at 10 mnths though) ... or you can try a kong wubba, Chiquito loves his Smile

Kong toys are the best in my experience!!! They are pretty durable and last awhile! They have a few with squeakers in them!
