adding sulphur to water?
a friends told me when its hot outside to add sulphur (like for birds) to its water and it helps to keep the dog cool.... as we all now dogs dont swet, just wondering if this is true or not

No i wouldn't do it personally i don't like giving them chemicals at the best of times.
I'd rather keep them cool myself by wetting them down and making sure theres plenty of water about

Nope not heard of it, paddling pool here for cooling down. & tea towels that have been wet and popped in the freezer for walks

It's a very old thing, adding a sulphur block to the drinking water. I don't know if it actually does cool them down, but I wouldn't do it personally.
A cool mat is a better option with clean, fresh drinking water available at all times.
