Sprained Ankle For Moi
I went to bed last night in pain and woke up this morning with it still. Was taking Rocky out for a walk yesterday morning and just as I stepped out of the front door my left ankle went over Although I didn't think much of it at the time it was very painful last night and even worse today.
Thankful hubby has strapped it up for me (he has been a sports therapist in the past so knows what to do) and I am supposed to be resting it too late.

Thanks to you all, it isn't feeling too bad right now, have taken an anti inflammatory tablet which seems to be working, fingers crossed, so far. Did have an ice pack on it earlier too, I did remember this time.

Re: Sprained Ankle For Moi
I feel your pain mate, i did mine in the winter running with the dogs 3 miles from the car i was scared to take my boot off when i got back as i was sure something was broken and poking through the skin lol.
be very carefull for a few months as it can go easily again although the pain gets less and less it still hurts like hell at the time.
I sent my ex a pic for advice and sympothy as she is a nurse, although she reminded me she is a cancer specialist and doesnt know much about sprains...
she said put something frozen on it, so i sent her a pic back with 1 frozen chip on it and marley trying to eat it which didnt go down to well. but i had been on the liquid pain killer lol

Ankle is still feeling painful today although it does ease off if I sit and rest with the ice pack on it. Will have to see if there is anything worthwhile to watch on TV, at least that way I will sit and rest it. Am off now to rest it again.

Re: Sprained Ankle For Moi
Oh Kathy! a sprained joint is very painful (nearly a fracture) and when it's your ankle it stops everyday life in its tracks.
I hope that you can enlist everyone to help out with you and Rocky whilst you rest, elevate and cool the ankle. I'm assuming that you have consulted your GP?
Sending you all best wishes for a speedy return to full health ><
