Update on Orijen and Review
Well Dragon's been on Orijen for a while, at first I started mixing it in with Eukanuba but he would pick out the Orijen and not eat the Eukanuba and the Orijen was hardly anything as he was just getting started, so I started mixing his older food with Orijen and he would eat every single thing within a minute. He's now at 75g on Orijen with a bit of his older food and still eating everything straight after I put it down.
I would say yes this food is expensive but it's very good as well, his coat is looking better, more shiny and kinda more soft, the food is very very fresh and I think if your dog is a fussy eater like mine this is a good food. dragon use to hate dry food but he's been on Orijen for a while and doing amazing. It's worth the money in my opinion.

Great that it worked for you but it didn't really work for Zeus, I think the protein content was too high for him and his tummy couldn't handle it. His poo was always soft, sometimes watery and he poo'd quite alot

Think it's meant to be a really good food; if it works for Dragon, that's the most important thing, glad he's doing well on it

Did you intruduce him slowly?goldie87 wrote:Great that it worked for you but it didn't really work for Zeus, I think the protein content was too high for him and his tummy couldn't handle it. His poo was always soft, sometimes watery and he poo'd quite alot
Dragon is hardly pooing, he's doing 1 sometimes 2 a day now, on Eukanuba he was doing more...
Maybe it's because your dog was to young and it was to much, don't know if that would make a difference...
I heard most dogs get hyper after eating Orijen but Dragon is always chilled out he only gets hyper when he's out running and playing fetch other than that he's always layed down sleeping or doing nothing really

Good to hear Dragon is doing well on it, when Otis is older we may be considering it for him

Yep, introduced it to him over a period of 10 days. He was pooing almost 4/5 times a day, we also had to take him to the vets because he got Colitis (which apparantly can be caused by high protein food). We then moved him onto James Wellbeloved and (touchwood) hes doing great on it. He poos 2, maximum 3 times a day, and they're always solid.

It is a very good food, if your dog can handle the high protein in it
Glad Dragon is enjoying it
