I want to change brox's food
Theres a local shop from my house and its only like 50 paces away just right outside my door and it sells wagg complete puppy, otherwise i need to travel 20mins in the car for other food.
I heard a long time ago wagg is actually quite decent.
What are your thoughts on me feeding brox it,does it have all the good stuff in it
I have a link of it here just to show you guys, they sell it in pets at home too

Re: I want to change brox's food
Hiya!
This is the ingredient list for that puppy food:
They put the biggest percentages first so you can see that meat is only the fourth biggest ingredients. Personally I would like to see more protein in my dog food.
What food is Brox currently on?
This is the ingredient list for that puppy food:
Wheat, Meat Meal, Wheatfeed, Chicken Meat Meal (min 10% in chicken kibble), Maize Gluten, Poultry Fat, Maize, Digest, Peas (min 4% in pea kibble), Linseed, Lucerne, Beet Pulp, Minerals, Yeast (0.08%), Citrus Extract (0.03%), Yucca Extract (0.01%).

Re: I want to change brox's food
Wagg isn't a good food, to be honest. You want the first ingredient to be meat (a named meat, for example Loki's on Wainwrights and the first ingredient is duck, I believe). It goes more or less in order of content, so if wheat is the first ingredient, it's mostly wheat, which is completely useless for a dog. Here's a list of recommended dry foods (Wainwrights isn't on the list but is a good food, never had any problems with it, good price and a few members feed it):

Most supermarkets will sell food that isn't any good, Pets At Home tend to have all the better foods, but I'm sure you'd be able to order online so you don't have to travel far.
Also, remember to change the food over gradually to avoid any upset stomach

Re: I want to change brox's food
That looks a much better food than the Wagg, as Tara says there is meat as the first ingredient.
Is the pet shop you are thinking about using an independent one? Sometimes they will order in a different food for you if you request, it's all income for them. I get my animal food from the local pet shop and they order in for me if I ask them too.

Re: I want to change brox's food
I would be feeding the best quality you can afford to buy, its your dogs health after all. When it comes to food you get what you pay for. I would not feed wagg (i used to and it make lexi very sick)
The one you are on now is decent enough quality, i would stick to it.

Given the choice of the two, I would stay with the Burgess. Wagg is a low quality food. You have a young dog that is going to be hyper enough without feeding that stuff.

Re: I want to change brox's food
Personally I would order a decent product on-line or make the 20 min. journey.
This is a crucial stage in your puppy's development so give him the very best you can afford. There are some decent foods out there for a few pence more per feed than Wagg.
I feed Eden which is 80/20 with no grains at 250 gr. a day which costs me less than £1 per day and Bacchus is 10 months and 20 kilos.

In my opinion, no. Pedigree is a horrendous food. I also mix wet food with dry food but I use either Wainwright trays or Nature's diet wet food, both from Pets at Home, they are much better quality than Pedigree.
I recall one Pedigree food that I seen only had 4% meat in it, and it didn't even state what type of meat! This is nowhere near enough protein content.
