She does dig the garden and eat mud, bark, grass etc trying to get her out of this but she has worked out how to eat with a soft muzzel on any suggestions? Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised

At 11 months she wont be teething..that happens at about 4 months and they usually have almost all adult teeth by 6 months..so she has had hers for awhile now.

What food is she on? I'd just leave the food down for 10 minutes and if she doesn't eat it, pick the bowl up and leave it until next meal time. If she's healthy, she'll eat rather than starve Smile you could put some tinned sardines in it or a bit of olive oil to make it more appealing though. I do that now and again with Loki, but only as a treat, really.

Personally I don't like just feeding wet as a meal, she is most likely being stubborn, Moo can do this too, if she picks around her kibble it gets thrown until the next meal, have you thought of trying raw egg or sardines mixed in Xx

She only had muzzle on to train her not to eat mud -I think she thought she was a rabbit...... ive tried so many times to be tough on her and her knibble she went 4 day's without eating the last time....... she was staving !!!!!!!

Muzzles are for aggressive dogs to be worn when they are in danger of biting someone, they will not in any way teach a dog not to eat mud.

Vets are not animal behaviourists, they will and often do give extremely wrong and bad advise to do with training, then tell people to put their animal down when the training makes their animal aggressive.

There's no problem in adding a couple of sardines to her dry food, if that's what makes her eat it! thumbs up

Giving her some fish in each meal really isn't a problem - every day & every meal if that's what it takes to get her eating!Big Grin

Katy has always eaten as if someone was going to steal it, never a kibble left. But hardly touches it at the moment, I leave it down for 10mins then take it up, she's just not interested at the moment but she's not starving. Funny girl i dont know

Have you thought about switching to either a fish based kibble, or even raw feeding?
