Hi my partner and i are new to this site,

we have a 9 month old staffy called Teya she is a dark tiger brindle.

we are having some problems with her chasing her bits and tail and yelping for no reason at all. we just took her to the ponds near us and she went for a swim as she usually does but this time she kept swimming in circles the would not respond to us calling her in which is very unlike her.
She is eating and drinking fine tho
also she will never sit still even in the house she is trying to chase her tail or bits and the out of the blue she will yelp again.

i hope someone could help us out with this.

p.s she has been health checked and there is nothing wrong with her.

It sounds like just a habit, you need to stop it with a distraction, also I would let her swim for now.......what are you doing to stop it?

H and welcome from me and Daisy Smile

Yes it does sound like habit, or boredom? Like Janey says you need to distract her with something each time she starts to try and break the habit.

Welcome Big Grin sounds like it's becoming a habit, so try to distract her every time she does it. Not easy, but definitely the better option.

Welcome to the forum from me and the Monster Big Grin

Def sounds like a boredom issue, a bit more varied exercise and time consuming toys will help Smile
