Kenny kinda off lead today :)

We've had a great morning. There's been a few issues with Kenny being off lead, so we dont bother. Its only through talking to people that i realised that keeping him on a lead was making him "hyper"

The risk is far to high where he's concerned. But he needs to run and catch a ball. We attached a few extra long leads, attached it to his harness. We made sure there was nothing around 1st, then just let him play. It was brilliant, just seeing him run and catch his ball . For once he kept his attension straight on me and the ball.

Its lovely to see them running! When we were training sonic we got a 75foot lunge line ( sold for horses i think!) from ebay for about £10....definitely gave more freedom for her and piece of mind for me!

That's brilliant I don't trust Loki off the lead anymore, and even when his recall's great (he has phases where it's great, and phases where it's non-existent), I'm always keeping an eye out for people and dogs so he doesn't run up to them. So I much prefer the long line, I attach it to a belt I wear so my hands are free. Definitely lovely to see them have a run around and tire themselves out while knowing they're safe
