Soon to be new Staffy
Hi Guys,
I recently took up fostering for a staffy rescue home (specialise in saving those on death row). I got my first foster dog just under 5 weeks ago and I'm already a failed fosterer - just need to finalise her adoption!
She's around 18 months old, her name is Peppa (she has the staffy grunting/snorting when she sniffs so Peppa Pig) and unfortunately she's already been pupped! She came to me from a pound in the midlands and was due to be PTS (because staffies are so overbred, they tend to just destroy rather than rehome) until the rescue centre I foster for stepped in. She was found as a stray so have no idea what the poor souls been through. She was extremely wary of some guys, most dogs, noises, going outside.....pretty much everything! She has been attacked at some point in the past by another dog. Only wanted to go outside to pee/poo and then go straight home. Absolutely adored kids though, especially girls around 5-8 years old. Not that I let her go up to kids initially.....just she got very excited when she seen them in passing!
She's changed now though. Still a few things to work on but she's like a completely different dog already.

Hi and welcome from me and Daisy, well done on the rescue
Daisy was a rescue too and also was scared of things on walks, I don't think she'd actually been walked much!! All good now though

Re: Soon to be new Staffy
This is peppa recently and I've also changed my avatar to one of my favourite pictures of her.
I dont want to add too many so just going to do a few! Some are older and some are recent.
This is Peppa with her Fursister (parents dog) Skye:
This is Peppa at my cousins with her Staffie cross Lola:
This is my partners dogs, Lee (jack russell) and Ringo (3/4 JR and 1/4 staffie) Ringo does look distraught but that is because he is dirty (black marks on his face) and he doesnt like being dirty:
Peppa sunbathing in summer:
Peppa looking shy:
Sorry if i've posted in the wrong place! I did look but couldnt see if there was a thread specifically for this and didnt want to start a new thread elsewhere just in case

Re: Soon to be new Staffy
Oh and for anyone who wants a better view of my avatar
Its one of my favourites because we were at my parents, my mum came out to go to her sun lounger, at which point Peppa ran and grabbed her toy then jumped up and stole my mums sun lounger. And she looks like she's very amused/pleased with herself!
