Weetabix?????
Was out on our morning walk when we bumped into this lovely older gentleman who got chatting very quickly about how much he loves staffies etc etc he was giving us loads of advice but one he did say was to every now and then for a change for jenson was to give him a few sardines ( canned ) mixed in with dry weetabix.
Anyone else tried this? Ive heard of sardines given to dogs but not weetabix .. dont see why they couldnt have it but just want to make sure it is ok, even just in small doses.

Re: Weetabix?????
I wouldn't bother with the weetabix, many dogs are wheat intolerant and he could get a nasty upset stomach!
Years ago (many, many moons ago) puppies were given weetabix or rusks as part of their 4 meals a day, but I wouldn't do it now.
The sardines are a good idea though!

I did wonder about weetabix as it helps us "ahem" be regular!! didnt know if it would be to strong fibre wise for dogs .. but i dont want to take the risk.
I will try the sardines though .. i give him a raw egg every evening over his food.. and he loves that... so hopfully he will enjoy the sardines too.

Update - Jenson had sardines in tomato sauce mixed in with his dried tonight and to say he loved it would be an understatement .. he licked his bowl clean
