about taking jake abroad
i know we need a passport and jabs where's best place to sort this out.
he's just had op at pdsa but don't think they do this will ask when i pick up today but any other help would be appreciated

Definitely vets. They'll be able to give you the vaccines and offer advice for preparation for the journey.

Where abroad are you taking him? It depends on the location you go, but you may need a DEFRA vet clearance as well as all the vaccinations in a dog passport. The vet will give the vaccinations for you and update the passport. just make sure that the country you are taking him too doesn't have any absurd vaccination requirements. We used a company that was brilliant, but a little pricey when we flew Brutus from London to Dubai. Also, don't forget that you may need to have a company at the receiving country who will collect your dog from the airport if that's how he/she will travel. Most countries will not allow you to collect them personally as the government vet needs to check them over. Drop me a pm if you want some more info.

Yes, the vet should be able to advise. Plus, take a quick look at the DEFRA website.

Ah right. I hint an EU dog passport should suffice, but check the DEFRA site just to be safe
