Just passing on a couple of good experiences over the last few days, just got back from a trip out on the train with Ledger (think it was Arriva) just 20mins each way but meant he got a walk to and from the station instead of being left at home when I went to a recommended butchers this was more of a test as he can get a bit vocal when we are in public and he doesn't have 100% of my attention but I took a seat near the doors (out of the main compartment) he was a little nervous at first but settled well and was calm at stations with everyone getting on and off Smile

And yesterday I was killing time before the vets (boosters) and seeing as there aren't any signs we wandered into Sports Direct and absolutely no issues from the staff it was really nice being able to browse and meant I could stock up on some walking/trail kit we had a few surprised looks from customers but no comments at all from staff even when they had left a tag on and I was chatting to a manager at the front doors on the way out Big Grin

Oooh also had the dog walker for the first time today she left a note to say that Ledger welcomed her into the house with a waggy tail and then went for lead walks across the meadows and some ball play so all is great on that front too

Great news! Its great to be able to socialise them around the public, we make a point of walking down the high street. As for the shops, I wouldn't have been so cheeky to take her in, I will now Big Grin

What a lovely response from the staff in the shop, I wish more were dog friendly I'm sure more people would go in if they had their dogs with them.

That's great! I would never think to take Charlie in, I actually called a shop assistant through the windows of a local Wilkos the other day because I had Charlie with me as I was checking to see if an order had come in.....felt ever so rude pointing her to the door to talk to me but they were ok about it Smile

Fantastic news! Big Grin sounds like a good day all in all, I've never taken eb into shops around here; I have in Cornwall but only a few Smile I wish you could take them into corner shops because she'd get a lot more extra walks! I hate leaving her out side so I just leave her at home which is a shame Sad unless I can beg my mom to come down with me so she can hold the dog Laughing

I think the weather has made a difference. People are coming up to Rupert all the time.

Today: two Indian women.

Woman 1: "Oh he's gorgeous!"

Woman 2: "We have one just like him - in Bombay!"

Me: "Really? Is he a Staffy?"

Woman 1: "He's a chihuahua."

Woman 2: "But he's just like your dog!"

Tried going into Argos and welcomed by the staff Smile tbh we were sat there quietly while a number of kids ran around/into people screaming and throwing food on the floor I was so ready to dispute if we had been asked to leave Laughing

Have to admit sneaking him into the library sometimes too as there are no public loos in town and the library ones are just inside the front doors
