What does that show you about the true stafford temperament, though? Those poor dogs were systematically tortured & yet they have such loving temperaments. I hope they both find the loving homes they deserve, and I'm sure they will.

Wonderful to see that the dogs can recover from treatment like this, though - they really are Man's best friend. It's just a pity we can't be their best friend when they need it most to stop stuff like this happening.

I can't believe that any person with a slither of warmth in their hearts could do this! It should carry the same sentences as if he'd beaten & abused a child.

If a Staffy ripped his eye out, he'd be put to sleep. Yet, he'll probably just get a warning. Grr!

That's disgusting I honestly don't see how, or why anyone would ever want to do such a thing. As Caryl said, just how's the true staffie temperament. I don't think 3 months is enough either. I know children and dogs aren't the same, but I think they should be jailed the same amount of time; they're living creatures, they love, feel pain, they get scared - all the same emotions we have, but cause it's an animal they're not worthy of bein jailed for a long time. If punishments were harsher than just a few months of jail and not being allowed a dog ever again (how do they even monitor this?) then I don't think people would do things like that so lightly.

At least they'll both be going to loving homes.

3 months is a joke, not long enough by far, also his friend witnessed this on a daily basis, why didn't he report this? Why hasn't he been prosecuted too?
