Fell in canal
My wife was walking our sukie this evening and discussing with her friend how deep did she think the canal was.while looking at sukie who's always near the edge looking for duck poo! Horrible I know, when the dog lost her balance and fell head first into the cut.my wife said she completely disappeared out of sight, panicking she rushed to the side of the cut up came sukie swimming her little heart out, wife drags her out the canal straight back on lead and back home.i take her in the shower for a wash and shampoo (which she hates).clean and dry she goes straight outside and rolls around in the grass.she is now snuggled on my lap fast asleep and none the worse for wear bless her.

Re: Fell in canal
I suppose sooner or later they all have to learn to swim - but why do they have to scare us when they do it?

Hahah my lexi fell into a pool in the sea one time, i laughed too much to save her >
My kitten also ran full speed into a pool once and i again laughed too much to rescue him. He got himself out and looked very moody

I've yet to see Rocky swim, but will hopefully put this to rights a bit later in the summertime, I can't wait

Poor Suckie haha!
Cant wait for my pooch to swim, he's not too fond of the water so I cant imagine he would be best pleased if he fell in a canal!

Aaawww, poor Sukie, but at least there was no harm done I can imagine it being very scary.

Re: Fell in canal
My 2 can both swim but choose not to and don't tend to favour the water apart from odd occasions when they may venture close enough for a drink at the canalside
