A 12-year-old boy has been treated in hospital in Dundee after suffering "serious" wounds to his leg in a dog attack.

Police were called to a house in Westcroft Place in the Mid Craigie area of the city at 20:20 on Tuesday following an incident involving a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

The boy was taken to Ninewells Hospital and treated for a serious bite.

A 39-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the incident.

I hope the wee boy is ok and makes a speedy recovery, however, it's funny how you start to get a 'hunch' when these attacks are reported that Staffies are going to be reported to have been involved before you even read the story.
