Sounds like she is, how old is she? I'm sure someone who's gone through it will be along shortly with some advice. Big Grin

Are her lady bits swollen? She's about the right age for her first season.

My lass had her first season (my first encounter) in november last year and started in a similar way. Was a kinda straw coloured discharge for a while and then the spotting started but wasnt too bad. Be very very carefull while walking though as the scent they give off is probably one of the strongest sexual attractents i have ever seen...i just wish there was a human version forattracting females... i wasnt looking forward to her first season as i hadnt been thdough it before but it wasnt that bad. Im suspect i was just an over protective dog dad lol

They do differ, about 3 weeks, but it depends if they are heavy or light, much like us Emma! Pads where a god send for the furniture/carpet and just be extra vigilant when walking her, onlead at all times! Xx

A bath after the 3rd week to help reduce the scent will help too. walking at quiet times and away from other dogs will make your walk much more pleasurable.
