Under current BSL though, no laws were actually broken... The child was on the dog owner's property and had been verbally warned about the dog. I do think though that if a dog did enough damage to require 1000 stitches, and to a child that it is questionable if it should be allowed to live. However as laws stand currently none were broken!

The court's control order should keep the dog under strict rules and supervision, but if it has already gotton out before the owner is very lucky he wasnt PTS.

I think the boy brought it all on himself after all he ignored the owners etc & the dog didn't like him so why should a dog be destroyed just because of some snot nosed little brat ignoring what he's been told.
