dog beds
Looking to get Densil a new dog bed and just wondering what people recommend. Have got one of those hard plastic ones and he doesn't like it. Thinking about getting a soft bed with raised sides but want to make sure he has enough room to lay out in it - he will only be sleeping in it at night time when we have gone to bed.

Re: dog beds
Blue also likes to chew his bed up so he has a raised bed with a fleece blanket which he has never tried to chew. So I probably also can't help with the style of bed your after

Rockys bed is approx 2 foot by 2 foot at the widest parts. Not too sure what size that would equate to. If you can get to the Woodgreen shop I'm sure they would still stock them.

Thanks - can't get to woodgreen any more as don't have a car and I don't think any bus services run out that way. Will have to order online and I wanted to get something so he can lay straight out in it rather than have to curl up in a ball. Will have another look at the sizes.

In the end I got one of these in extra large size, although it wasn't as big as I expected it is a nice size for Densil. He has been sleeping in it when we go to bed for about a week now. However, yesterday I was having a move round in the spare bedroom, which is where he sleeps, and I pulled his old bed and quilt out and left it next to his new one and forgot about it.- guess what? when we went to bed he went straight to the old bed and slept in there all night, lol.

Re: dog beds
Doug has 2 beds. One for the lounge as he doesn't always like the sofa with us (we take up to much room!)
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/faux-fur-oval-mattress-dog-bed-by-pets-at-home-13997
The other for the kitchen which he sleeps in. It's got a wipeable cover so I put a blanket in it from Primark for him to make it cosy

Re: dog beds
Zeus ripped apart every single bed we've got him, he now has a flat sponge mattress which for some reason he isn't bothered about chewing up (touchwood!). He's had this for almost 7/8 months now so it works for us.
