Smile Tilly really needs to bark a bit more

Post by Guest Sun Apr 21 2013, 14:49

So we went for a decent walk late morning and just got back , Deep Hayes Country Park. Dogs have to be kept on lead so we put both ours on long lines. After a while as it was really quiet I just let Tilly's line trail her as she is so dependable , plodding along with Tilly behind and Tommy beside me . After a little while Tilly was flagging and I looked back to see where she was and this was what I saw Sad And yes I was cruel to stop and take the pic first Laughing

Her training line had got caught and she couldnt go no further Sad

Here's a couple of other pics anyway

The pub in the background where we start and finish , anyone local it's the Hollybush at Denford and some great canal walks etc from there

Bit of freedom still on the long lines Smile

Really takes a bit of mastering though having 2 dogs on long lines and not getting them constantly tangled or wrapped round fences , trees and stiles Laughing

Hehe Smile Long lines are great but do have an unfortunate habit of getting tangled Laughing

Made a big mistake with Tommy yesterday , Tommy was by me with a line attached to my over shoulder lead and we were pointing downbank, said the S word to them ( Squirrels ) and they both went haring off . Training line is 50ft so he built up quite a bit of speed by the end and just pulled me down the hill like an idiot until I went flat on my face in a fit of giggles for Tommy to come up and pounce on me biting my ears

Lol! The fact that they get to build up the speed with the distance makes it even worse.

Happened to me a few times too Laughing

Great pics, but poor Tilly Laughing I do find it mad how they don't get tangled up, Loki once managed to wrap the long line around my leg and I didn't even notice, it's like he does it on purpose.

I was getting really angry with Tommy today as I'm sure he was going once round every tree on purpose the little sh1t

I don't know how you cope with 2 long lines dealing with 1 from getting wrapped up and tangled is enough for me
