Densil's first bone
I bought a bag of dog bones from the butcher on the market stall yesterday. £1 for the bag so gave him one and put the rest in the freezer. he played with it most of the day, trying to bury it all over the house. In the end he ate the lot. didn't want his dinner at all last night. Seems ok so far, i was just a bit worried about giving him raw bones so will see how it goes.

Don't worry, raw bones are fine, even though it seems weird just because you're not used to it, he'll be OK

Raw bones are fine as long as they aren't load bearing bones from large animals due to being tougher than dogs teeth.
Sounds like Densil had great fun.
Is raw feeding something you think you will take up?

Definately not going to take up raw feeding, just wanted something Densil could chew on other than rawhide bones which upset his tummy and he isn't too fussed by stagbars even though I smear them with peanut butter/honey.

Well raw bones are a great treat. Keeps them occupied and also a great teeth cleaning tool. Glad Densil had fun
Sometimes soaking the stag bar in water over night gets them interested in it

Densil was ok next day - brought up a bit of vomit which looked like he had been eating grass. Also did a number 2 which looked a bit white - assume this is normal
