The Friday Night Topic
First topic message reminder :
Where is your usual Friday post?
Right here, Ellie.
So, how is everyone's evening going? The sun is still out here in sunny Portadown and I'm enjoying a few cheeky tins.
What are you all at this evening?

Re: The Friday Night Topic
Their morals are fantastic.
They were lamping rabbits, and the reporter said "is this not cruel?", the lad responded with "well you people think it's ok to go get a cheeseburger out of McDonald's".
They can be rough, but they speak A LOT of sense too.

Re: The Friday Night Topic
To be completely honest, I don't know anything about their morals and etc., but agree with what was said that the media focuses on the minority that are 'bad' and will use that to warp people's view.

It's basically hunting, but without guns. They shine a light on the area to scare a rabbit out, then dogs, normally lurchers, will catch them. It's awful, but I think all forms of hunting are.
It's massive over here, that's why there are so many lurchers and bull-lurcher crosses.

Poor rabbits but I see their point, to be honest. I have a greater respect for hunters since speaking to a few and them talking about how they use all parts of the animal, they respect the life they've taken and etc. Must be better to be in your natural habitat and etc. than be in a slaughterhouse or something similar, so I get that point.

If I' said I'd lamped a rabbit that means I've got hold of it and punched it in the face..............not cool

Re: The Friday Night Topic
lamping is barbaric, bloodsport. not hunting. at least with hunting its thought out, and if done properly, humane and quick.
but as far as i'm concerned, its pest control

Re: The Friday Night Topic
It gave me nightmares for ages after watching it, seriously traumatic things going on in that film read the book too, but obviously when you're a kid watching a film about cute little rabbits, that's the last thing you want to see.
