Manners!
Hallelujah, the demon no longer jumps all over new dogs . We've been out for a couple of hours on the field and we saw a little girl with a Jack Russell. Loki was on his long line so I shortened it and kept him close to me, but the JRT decided he wanted to meet Loki and dragged the poor girl to us so they had a good sniff, and Loki didn't even attempt to jump onto him like he usually does. The girl seemed a bit scared of Loki, but it was the calmest I've ever seen him, and he didn't make an attempt to jump on her like he usually does with people (the lead was short enough that he wouldn't have been able to, just to clarify). I'm very proud of him. And two girls walking in front of us kept looking back and mentioning how gorgeous he was
That said, it's a bittersweet moment because he's growing up, and although that's great, I've never had a puppy before Loki, so to see him grow up and his temperament change is sad even though it's for the better, because he's no longer the innocent, cute, playful puppy anymore. Ah well, he's even more loving than he used to be, that's what matters the most

YAAY! Well done Loki! it really is a great feeling when they're well behaved - I don't think there's anything better! I very much agree with the girls infront too, Loki is a very gorgeous lad on another post I saw you say he was crossed with something, I've been wondering ever since but never really asked! What's he crossed with?

Oh wow! They're one of my favorite breeds! My aunties friend has one called Oreo and he's such a goofball! Is Loki very big?? Cause Oreo is, he's like a bear

Re: Manners!
Charlie is terrible with my friend's dog Alfie (he's a pug) and tries to jump all over him...I'm guessing he'll outgrow it then? Hope he outgrows it with our cat as well, I fear for Oscar's poor back some days!

Oooh, don't suppose you could get pics of him for me? Never met one before except Loki's dad, he was the same, big friendly guy (apparently friendly isn't typical of the breed, but ah well!). Be great to see another one . He's not big though, last time I measured him he was 21 inches in height, he's smaller than my old Boxer.

He should grow out of it as long as he continues to be socialised. I didn't think Loki was meeting enough dogs to grow out of it but he definitely has gotten better, so Charlie should do the same. Mind you, Loki has been told off by dogs a few times, and that's certainly helped him learn manners

I do indeed! They normally have their ears cropped though but yeah this is him and yeah I've heard they're not the best natured but the ones I've met have been nice
