Race For Life
So it’s that time of year, Race for Life has come around again, and I’m taken part in Edinburgh’s one this year.
I’m taken Tara with me, getting her own little Tutu to match ours … maybe some fairy wings … I can’t wait … we aren’t running it, its going to be a walk around as my Great Gran is doing it as well so I’m not worried about Tara doing it health wise.
Question is, is it overly rude to go in to the Vets and ask them to sponsor her??? I’ve already harassed almost everyone in my work for it lol

Re: Race For Life
Good on you and I don't think it's rude, it's for a good cause, no harm in asking.

I'm not sure if i am more excited about Tara joining us this year or my 82 year old Nanna!!
Such a good cause, I'm gonna need to build up the courage to go in to the Vets and ask them lol
Surely they wouldnt be able to say no to her little face!! lol

Re: Race For Life
Why not drop an email to your vets first to ask if it would be OK to take the sponsor form in, and when would be a good time of day to do so? Maybe a box of maltesers would grease their palms a little too.

Brilliant! I'm sure Tara will look lovely in her tutu well done on you and your nan for doing it too! I don't think it's cheeky just popping in and asking for a sponsor! I mean it's for a very good cause maybe call up and ask if it's okay? You could even make a little box and leave it in there with somewhere for people to leave their names and sponsor amounts

Yeah I would ask them, they can only say no! Plus it would look good on the Vets. You could say you will get them a photo of Tara in the race to put on the wall of the surgery

Re: Race For Life
I didn’t think dogs were allowed to do it either, but seems I was wrong! Although I don’t know if a dog has ever done the walk before
I work for BT so the sponsorship in here for Tara is massive ... mines for some reason isnt grown as well as hers!!! lol
I might offer to put the vets name printed on the Tutu or something if they sponsor her ... I'm gonna go in this weekend! lol
