Things you do now you have a pup.
hi guys, I was sat giving Bella a cuddle this morning thinking how my life's changed so much after adding her to our family, some made me smile so I thought i'd share and see if you had anything to add with your new furr babies -
* I always have treats on me ready to praise her (Even in my dressing gown pocket lol)
* I have poop bags in all my coat pockets!
* She has stuff everywhere, even her 2nd lead is in our car.
* I have a cupboard full of kitchen roll for her toilet training.
* I'm 2X more busy.
* I'm always telling one of them off (2 kiddies, Bella or hubby lol)
* And I have been replaced in bed (Every morning when my hubby gets home from work Bella always cuddles up with him and falls asleep in our bed - under the covers and head on pillow lol)

Re: Things you do now you have a pup.
Great post! Life certainly changes
1. Also always have treats at the ready and have learnt the importance of bribery!
2. Haven't had a full night's sleep in about a year between toilet training/letting them out at night/bed hogging
3. More active and healthy for all the walking and training
4. More social for all the doggie activities!
5. Learnt the art of unconditional love!

1. Have a reason to get outside everyday.
2. All the walking has made me healthier and lose some weight.
3. Learnt to accept all the teeth-related accidents
4. Started meditating and learning the value of counting to 10 and breathing deeply

Met lots of lovely people both on walks and on this forum.
Get constantly mugged by doggy friends 'cause they know I carry treats.
No longer have to go looking for my slippers, he brings them when I start to take my outdoor shoes off.
Don't know where I found time to work full-time before I got him when I retired.

Yes poop bags and treats show up often at the bottom of the washing machine
Definately a lot healthier
Met heaps of great friends on here and at the dog park
I have never seen Dylan (master 9) happier

My entire life revolves around Logan tbh. Before I got him I was having a horrible time with things so I put all my attention and effort into him. I get loads of exercise and have put on a good bit of weight. Also, joining the forum has been great because it's good to speak to likeminded people.

My hands always smell of dog biscuits and treats
He is our alarm at 6:30am, then when the OH went to work we would have a cuddle on the sofa.
Definitely get a lot more exercise - Love taking him out and watching him play.
Learnt some valuable patience aswell!
But getting Otis was the best decision we ever made and I can't imagine not having him now.

Re: Things you do now you have a pup.
My life has become a brighter place since getting otis. It's the best decision I ever made. My husband and I have been battling infertility for 3 years so otis Is my baby.
I'm much fitter with my daily walks.
I now seek out parks, beaches, fields and we visit somewhere different every weekend.
Otis inspired me to do a 26 mile walk in April for charity...I would have ne'er have done anything like that before Otis.
My once spotless house is now covered in toys, tissue paper, bits of chews, tennis balls....you name it.
I haven't finished a full meal since I got Otis lol he always gets a little something.
Add to all this he has saved my life as I was so close to suicide before getting him as I was so miserable and depressed battling our journey to have a baby...Otis changed my life and I am much calmer and human babies will come eventually once nature decides I'm ready but in the meantime I will always have unconditional love for my fur baby Otis xxxx
