Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
Hi
Just wondered if we are doing right
When my children enter the room, Bruno tends to go for their feet or legs and when they sit down, he tries to pull on their clothes, at the moment we are doing a firm no when he does naughty things, and it works when myself or my husband say it but not the kids as i guess their voices aren't up to that kind of tone (their are Girl 8 and a Boy 14) and so if Bruno does and they are standing up, we have told them to turn their backs to him and pay no attention to him.
Any other advice would be grateful
Anne xx

Re: Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
Oh, Bruno sounds so much like my lil' Roxy. She just loves to nip on trousers/feet/legs etc.....does'nt matter whether it's myself, hubby or the kids...anybody will do. It's very hard to ignore when their teeth are so sharp OUCH.
I feel your pain ( both figuratively speaking and quite literally )

hi
Thank you both
Hope it will go sooner or later , but i guess it is just a puppy thing and we'll just keep doing what we are doing and hopefully he will grow out of it

Re: Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
You're doing exactly the right thing. Children's voices don't quite carry the authority that adults do & it's easy for a pup to think it's just a game!
I know it's hard to imagine it now, but he will grow out of it as long as you're all consistant, after all, he's still really young!.

Re: Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
Mine's always had brown eyes so cant comment on that but as to the feet/legs/clothes nipping, they ALL go through it, it's typical puppy behaviour but you are doing exactly the right thing and Bruno will soon learn

Re: Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
billys were blue and now they are a hazel colour, i think they started changing at about 12 or so weeks

Re: Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
Re eye colour your dog may never get the dark eyes a standard staff should have or the black nose because of him being the colour he is. Blue is a diluted form of black and therefore the blues pigmantation is not always what it should be x

Re: Bruno And My Children's Feet And Legs
watch out for laces next, woody stopped the nipping of feet but then started trying to pull laces out of peoples shoes, they had to remove them at the door!!

Thank you All for your comments, i shall watch his eyes and see if they change at all, but if they stay blue, I don't mind, his mum and dad's eyes are hazel color
