Hi all, my tash is 10 months old and I have been using advocate monthly and drontal 3 monthly as recommended by vets but who thinks its worth it. Obviously worming is but 2 lots of worming tablets, isn't this too much?

I usually only worm or flea if I see the need for it.. Steff is highly allergic and suffers terrible skin from most chemical products.. I use a teaspoon of garlic every few days and I have never seen a worm from her yet, and even my vet agrees with me Surprised Shocking I know Laughing But with her eczema and allergic dermatitis it is best to use natural products where i can

I don't use advovate at all, and won't.

I don't de-flea unless it's necessary and I use milbemax wormer every 3 months.

I've been using drontal every 3mths. I used to use advocate but I'm convinced this Is not needed now.

My 2 are on garlic n fenugreek tablets daily - the garlic will help deter fleas.
And apple cider vinegar daily - with a system more acidic than alkaline - worms are less likely to take hold.

Ofc Many other health reasons for giving garlic and ACV.

hmmm want to give advocate up but would be devastated if this caused her any pain. would obviously still do some worming tablets though. May have to do some more research. Like the garlic and did buy some apple cider vinegar yesterday for her bald patches

I'm the exact same as Caryll, Zeus is almost 14 months old, I use Milbemax wormer every 3 months or so but I don't flea unless there is a reason for it, I'm not a fan of using chemicals (especially on his skin) just for the sake of it.

I use milbemax every 3 months as well as it is a good broad spectrum wormer.
I have flea treatments to hand in case needed but wont use them otherwise. They kill of 99% within 24 hours anyway and will prevent reinfestation for 60 days (flea's) and 30 days ticks.

thanks for all your replies, may be giving the advocate up. With the garlic thing, is it paste or just crushed or is it specially bought
