Help with Bad Breath Empty Help with Bad Breath

Post by Nor Cal Thu Mar 28 2013, 18:21

Bacon's been having a problem with bad breath lately. I try to brush his teeth every couple of days, but it does not seem to help that much. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can do?

Raw bones work well for cleaning teeth. Stagbar seems to help too.

I brush Logan's regular too.

Bad breath can also be caused by intestinal problems, have a vet check him over and explain what is happening.

The link may help too:

Kathy - I'm going to take him in to see the vet. Ever since he was a puppy he's had a very sensitive digestive system. Lately, he's been throwing up 4-7 times a month. He only seems to be throwing up white saliva/bile...

Maybe there is an issue we need to address and the bad breath is a symptom...

I can't remember the name of the product but I remember there is an additive you can place in their water that helps with bad breath and tartar build up. Bones are also great for keeping their teeth clean

Well, I took Bacon to the vet a couple of weeks ago and they did not find anything majorly alarming. She suspected that he may have eaten something he shouldn't have... Surprise Surprise.

Anyways, he got better after taking some antibiotics followed by probiotics.

Jstaff - I found that water additive and it's worked wonders!!! No more anchovy breath!!!

Very pleased to hear there are no major health issues, that must be a relief. Glad to hear you have found something to resolve the problem, thanks for the up date.
