hello we have recently acquired a male staff called bono when he arrived he had a funny mark on the top of his head which when the vet saw said it was a fungal infection she supplied a cream which we used religoulsy for 2 weeks she said use intill it had gone how ever all it seems to do is make the bald patch around it bigger

Are you sure the hair is thinning more or is it just getting wet from the cream and it appears to going more bald? You may need to pop back to the vet for another look at it.

i dont but defintley is balding as the hair was quite close to the mark and now it isnt

i was wondering if it could be related to the food as we werent told what he was on before as they were polish and didint really care and our dog was fussy and only ate wagg

I'd certainly get him off the Wagg - not a good food at all! Wainwrights is quite a good one, or have a look through this....

The bald spot sounds more like a slight demodex attack than a fungal infection. I take it the vet didn't do a skin scrape?

I'd bring him to get a skin scrape/sample if possible. I had to do this and it really helped Smile

I would get your vet to do a skin scrape for demodex. Or try using an advocate spot-on on him when he is due a flea treatment and see if the thinning improves.
