such a happy ending!
Sorry in advance for long post... you may recall i got to know a homeless guy with a staffy, well a couple of weeks ago he was really poorly but wouldn't go to hospital because of cassie ( the dog...who i was convinced was male lol) anyway in a moment of madness i told him i would look aftercassie if he went to hospital. so sat on a blooming bus taking her home and wondering how my husband would take it when it occurred to me my friend has said she wanted to have a dog but could do with borrowing one first to see if she could cope with the commitment. 1 phone call later and we were on route to her house.
the man has come out of hospital now and is in a shelter, on 3rd April he is moving to a different one which accept dogs so cassie will be going with him!!
however this has left my friend devastated as she grew very attached to cassie, so went to a few rescues to see what they had. her mum went with her and was hoping to find a yorkshire terrier as they lost theirs at Christmas. this week they both have home checks - my friend for an 18 month old staffy called pixie and her mum for 2 staffy crosses who are 8 and 7, mother and son called bella and nelson....so fingers crossed next week three dogs get rehomed and cassie no longer has to sleep in a shop doorway!

Sounds like a happy ending for all involved, brilliant that he's managed to find a shelter that accepts dogs, and thanks for keeping us updated, it's great of you to have kept in contact with him and offer to look after Cassie, not many people would go to such lengths

Wow, dont very often get a win, win, win situation well done. I'm sure the homeless guy really does appreciate all your work in helping him and his dog.
