Burning Question

What do you call the curry houses where you take in your own beer , me and OH having a chat and we have suffered brain lock

You get charged for corkage with wine but I hate curry so not a clue!

I didn't think they had a special name as such ... Just bring your own beer curry house ??

I've never been to one , apparently Rusholme in Manchester has loads but was told they have a special name

Yeah they have the curry mile in rusholme , hubby tells ne we have been a few times when we were ' courting ' ... I don't remember it !

think that's what i though it was , googled it too and found nothing . Assumed it was true as I've never been to a BaltiHouse before , only an Indian , Tandoori or Curry House

Ours is called, originally, the curry house. Maybe. I don't really know, it's rubbish and noone goes to it. they just close it down for a week then open it as under new management about 4 times a year, thinking that we will go expecting it to be different but its always the same people so after the second time noone bothered. I think they must just eat in it themselves cause noone else does.

Never heard of a name for them but usually theres an initialism of "byob" or "byo" on the signage or adverts, stands for "bring your own bottle". We call our local indian the "bob" as it sounds cooler and is easier to pronounce than the name( and obv it's a byob restaurant).
