Re: wainwrights puppy food , feeding guide amounts for 3 month old
Hi!
The feeding guides are very useful but still very much a guide. Use them as a starting point surely. But also take into consideration the general shape/size and overall energy level and activity of the dog.
Because Logan is a relatively relaxed dog apart from certain times and on walks I probably feed on the lower end of the scale.
As long as your pup isn't too thin it's not a great problem. Your pup will burn off calories and change shape a lot over the next 10-12 months.

Yep, sounds about right, going by the guide you should be looking at the medium size (which is what I followed when feeding Zeus Wainwrights).
Starting from 100grams at 2 months old, if you increase by approximately 70/75grams per each month as he gets older, you'll reach around 390grams/400grams by the time he's 6 months old. Does that make sense?
When Zeus was this age, I fed him 3 times a day, so I split that daily amount into 3 feeds. I then changed him to 2 feeds a day when he was around 9 months, but you can change to 2 feeds from anything after 6 months old.
As Mat suggested though, guidelines are exactly what they say they are, only guidelines. Currently, I feed Zeus with Orijen, and I actually feed him more than the guidelines say. Reason being that when I followed the guidelines, he wasn't putting any weight on, he was actually losing it, it all depends on the size of the dog and how much exercise they get.
